Giannis Antetokounmpo Calls Out Doc Rivers, Bucks After Loss

The Milwaukee Bucks have gotten off to a slow start this season.

After last year’s disappointing run, Giannis Antetokounmpo doesn’t appear to have a ton of patience for his squad or his head coach, Doc Rivers.

Following Milwaukee’s back-to-back losses to the Chicago Bulls and Brooklyn Nets, Antetokounmpo called out his team and his coach.

“Got to find ways, how to win the game,” he said.

“Right now, we don’t have an identity, how are we going to win the game. Are we going to defend for 48 minutes? Are we going to move the ball for 48 minutes? Are we going to attack and play fast for 48 minutes, or 36, slow down the last 12?

“We’ve gotta find an identity. We don’t have that right now. The Philly game, we were good. The last two games, we have to find that, find ourselves.”

Milwaukee has some serious issues. People tried to play off Damian Lillard skipping Antetokounmpo’s wedding as no big deal, but it did speak to the dynamic that has plagued this group since his arrival.

Rivers hasn’t helped.

Will the Bucks be able to get back on track in 2024? Time will tell.
