The Los Angeles Lakers selected Bronny James with their second-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
Reactions to the move have been mixed. Most recently, one of Bronny’s Lakers teammates called him out for being lazy.
Bronny, for his part, seems to be ignoring all the outside noise. Instead he is focusing on his looming rookie campaign.
This week, video emerged of Bronny training for the upcoming season with two surprising NBA stars: Darius Garland of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Jordan Clarkson of the Utah Jazz.

Garland and Clarkson obviously know each other from playing together during the 2019-20 season. Midway through that campaign the latter was traded to the Jazz.
As for why they are training with Bronny – that is less clear. Maybe the Cleveland connection? It’s hard to say.

Will working out with Garland Clarkson ultimately help Bronny’s game at all? Time will tell.
